M. Andrew Brison provides years of experience in defending businesses and retail establishments in cases in which they have been sued based on claims of personal injury that occurred on the premises of the business or resulted from the conduct of an employee of the business.  He is a veteran in defending all manner of claims: slip and fall, trip and fall, falling merchandise, as well as defective condition of the premises.

  • Malfunctioning parking gates;
  • Improper lighting;
  • Weather-related falls;
  • Accidents due to improper maintenance;
  • Pest infestation;
  • Helicopter landing pads (helipads);and
  • Unsecured utility covers and manhole covers.

From the outset of each case, a strategy is developed to aggressively pursue the resolution of all premises liability matters, which includes seeking dismissal of the claim on issues of lack of notice, open and obvious conditions, comparative fault, and other defenses. Additionally, medical records are analyzed and scrutinized in an effort to expose degenerative and pre-existing conditions or injuries. Mr. Brison is experienced in negotiating settlements, mediation, arbitration, and if necessary, trials and appeals.
